Since October 1, Baisha Township has been running its outer-island boats on a winter timetable that stays in force until November 30, and in that table the Jibei line has three round trips a day. On October 30 the township also posted its day-by-day table for November, which shows the same times: the Baisha Star No. 2 leaves Chikan at 06:15, 11:15 and 16:30 and sets off back from Jibei at 07:00, 13:30 and 17:00.
The one weekly exception is Friday. On November 6, 13, 20 and 27 the last round trip leaves half an hour later, at 17:00 from Chikan and 17:30 from Jibei. In early October the township revised its October table to match the times students take the bus home from school, a change Xiyu Township relayed on October 8; the November table keeps the same late Friday pair.
Two stretches of November bring a different boat. From the 10th to the 13th and from the 25th to the 28th, the early trip, 06:15 from Chikan and 07:00 back from Jibei, is run by the Mantianxing No. 10 at unchanged times. The township had not published a December table by October 30, so plans beyond November 30 need a fresh check.

NT$150 flat, residents free
One flat fare covers the Jibei line: NT$150 per person each way, the figure printed on the township's fare page, on its winter timetable and on the national scenic area's island-hopping page. People registered as Baisha residents ride free, as do young children; the township's wording is 'aged 3 full years and under'.
Half price applies to children aged 3 to 11, holders of a disability handbook and people aged 65 or over. The winter timetable limits the senior discount to Republic of China nationals, so foreign visitors should expect the full fare. The township does not print the half-fare amount, so none is given here. You show ID when buying, and the ticket and ID again when boarding.

Chikan's North Sea Visitor Center and Jibei Harbor
Not every Baisha island boat leaves from Chikan: the boat to Niaoyu uses the pier at Qitou, covered on the Qitou to Niaoyu ferry page. Visitors coming from Taiwan's main island can first take the overnight ship from Kaohsiung to Magong and travel on to Chikan from Magong.
Chikan – fishing harbor by the North Sea visitor center
According to the Penghu National Scenic Area's island-hopping page, tickets for the northern islands are sold at the North Sea Visitor Center in Chikan village, phone 06-9933082. The map pin marks the water of Chikan fishing harbor as drawn on OpenStreetMap, not the ticket desk.
Jibei Harbor
On Jibei the boat uses Jibei Harbor; OpenStreetMap shows the island's visitor center right by the port. Return departures are 07:00, 13:30 and 17:00, or 17:30 for the last one on Fridays.
North from Chikan to Jibei
Jibei lies north of Baisha, and the township boat runs from Chikan fishing harbor up to Jibei Harbor. Neither the timetable nor the fare page states how long the crossing takes, and this page does not estimate it. Both pins come from OpenStreetMap: the harbor water at Chikan and the marina outline at Jibei.
The November table is a calendar grid with three rows of times per day: the left column is headed 'from Chikan', the right 'from Jibei'. Red figures mark the later Friday departures and blue ones the days the relief boat takes the first trip.
Riding the township boat to Jibei
- Residents first, until 15 minutes before
The winter timetable gives registered Baisha residents priority: the operator holds seats for them until 15 minutes before departure, and only then sells what is left to other passengers at the pier.
- Register with ID
Tickets are issued against an identity document, and you show both again at the gangway. A passport is the obvious choice for a foreign visitor.
- Fridays and long weekends
The township notes that Friday and holiday-weekend last sailings may be adjusted to demand; the monthly table is the reference.
- Relief boat on some mornings
On November 10–13 and 25–28 the first round trip is run by the Mantianxing No. 10, at the usual times.
- Check by phone
The Jibei line's number is 06-9933551. The table reminds passengers that weather and tides can change which boat sails on the day.
Baisha's four island boats
Baisha Township lists all four of its inhabited outer islands on a single winter sheet. Jibei has the Baisha Star No. 2 at NT$150 a trip; Niaoyu, Yuanbei and Dacang each have a boat named after the island, at NT$100. The free-travel and half-fare rules are identical on all four lines, and Baisha residents travel free.
The notes under that table matter most to visitors. Residents have priority boarding and seats are held for them until 15 minutes before departure. A separate note says that extra trips run commercially by the boat operator can be booked in advance, but residents pay on those and lose their priority. The Penghu National Scenic Area's North Sea page sends readers to the same township timetable and lists the Jibei fare as NT$150, alongside a list of private speedboat firms selling Jibei packages from Chikan.
